For not sticking with Caprica. It took a bit to get going but these
last five episodes challenged the best of BSG. A good thing you folks
didn't have Babylon 5 in your charge. The Shadows would never have
been defeated.

One note among many. After all the pondering we did earlier in the
year about how growing up in a mob family would affect our Captain
Bill Adama and it turns out it wasn't him as a kid all along!

And even worse, according to their own timeline, it will make Bill Adama
about 14 years old when he shows up in Blood and Chrome as a fully
qualified viper pilot.

Meanwhile, they hired 20+ year old Nico Cortez back to play Adama in B&C.

Killing off Willy was the dumbest thing they could do in what was
otherwise a smart series.

I look at it the other way... the "timeline" which was made explicit in the
"backstory" never really showed up in the Caprica series itself. Since the
Cylon holocaust has yet to actually occur, there was no reason in the show
itself to refer to any fixed dates. So the error in the off-show timeline
is something that should just quietly be either revised or thrown away.
What actually appears onscreen stands on its own.

Zoe was shown sitting in on one of Clarice's sermons - so I am
assuming she is now following, along with the robots, Clarice's message that
they should take down their creators?

I was wondering about that. We had just seen Zoe completely blow
apart Clarice's apoethesis scam, so you would think Clarice would not
be happy to see her.

There are many copies. That one might have been one of the toasters from
the STO training camp, newly minted into a skinjob body. Or just a red
herring. Or anything else. Two of the same model can be very different in
their experiences and loyalties.

I'm not quite sure how Clarice is a free woman, not with the evidence
on her holoband, not with a billionaire ordering his company to work to
take down the STO.

And Lacey might have the Cylons obey her for a while, but if Graystone
or Zoe want it to be otherwise, it would be otherwise, and frankly the
rest of the church would never have been keen on her appointing herself
pope with a robot army, and would help them.

But since they had to do an emergency wrap-up in 5 minutes, you can't
fault them a lot for not getting it all right. Though it's clear they
had some things planned from the start, like the Willy/Bill switch.
And Clarice's speech to rally the Cylons was in the previews before
they knew they were cancelled -- though they may well have seen the
writing on the wall and filmed that "in case we're cancelled" sequence
at the time.

It is good that for whatever reason, they decided to film one to at
least answer the questions. And there wasn't even too much of Gog in
it.

The biggest thing I didn't like was the Zoe rising from the tank.
It was clear in BSG that the Cylons wanted to make humanoid bodies
but could not do so, and that they had ended the war in exchange for
getting that technology from the Final 5, who are currently in an STL
ship on their way to Kobol, where they will meet the exploring FTL Cylons
and cut the deal.
