What if the Pegasus and crew were really all Cylons?

Seems a little convenient for the Pegasus to have escaped the carnage

that was explained - a blind jump, during a refit.
if there are 12 cylon models, seeing the same faces in the pegasus crew
would be a giveaway.
let it go... ;)

This is a remarkably common but unsubstantiated belief among fandom.

There is nothing that has been definitively shown that the Cylons have
only 12 human models.

Do you think Six lied to Baltar about it in the mini? I think one
factor in there being only 12 is production cost. Everything can be
covered with 12 actors. Once they reveal the last 5 or so unknown
models they can start doing more from the Cylon point of view.

I don't know. But everyone seems to firmly believe that she didn't.
I'm merely pointing out that everyone is treating as a fact something
that is really only supposition.

It doesn't matter how many actors you have as you have to pay them per
appearence. Actually, more Cylons may be cheaper as then you don't
have to do multiple takes for a single shot. I don't know how their
contracts work so I can't say which method is actually more
cost-effective.

Perhaps Cylons are like Pokemon. As soon as they reach their limit,
we'll "discover" more. :)

Which is a reasonable assumption, as she's never lied to him about anything
else.

For me the number 12 is more that a simple question of production cost
12 colonies 12 gods 12 zodiac sign
Cylon are obviously religious and play with the human beliefs
by the way why Baltar didnt test at least Admiral Cain ?

I see a lot of guys who would be happy to see a pair of hot
twins, who are obvious cylon eye candy. Maybe in Helo's last
daydream, he encounters an extra Sharon or three ...

When has Six ever actually lied to Baltar about anything? AFAIK,
everything she's ever said has been the truth (or at least, her twisted
Cylon version of same).

Never. But that does not preclude her from doing so. Also, Six has
admitted that there are some things that she does not know. It is also
plausible (as long as were contelplating possibilities) that she could
also have been simply mistaken.

This is a needless assumption though. Moore has given us enough to chew
on. There really is no reason not to believe the 12 model theory as the
# 12 fits into the whole paradigm. To speculate that there might be more
than 12 is just a tangent that makes little sense when there is so much
other fodder for debate.

I am put in mind of a story by Stanislav Lem in which a human spy
disguised as a robot is sent to snoop on a planet of robots.

By the end of the story, he has discovered that all the robots have long
ago become rust heaps, and the robots he sees around him are really all
the human spies sent before him who had mysteriously disappeared.

Then Sharon negotiates a settlement. All your babies are belong to us sort
of deal. Sharon's daughter gets to keep her ovaries. All the female
cylons with the exception of Six manage to get pregnant. Doral still can't
get laid. The twelve cylon models get worshipped as the lords of Earth.
The End.

Nah, BSG will arrive at Earth with the following opening
scene.

Adama: A cylon fighter that size couldn't get this deep into space on
its own.
Tigh: It must have gotten lost, been part of a convoy or something.
Apollo: Well, he ain't going to be around long enough to tell anyone
about us.
Tigh: Look at him. He's headed for that small moon.
Apollo: I think I can get him before he gets there...he's almost in
range.
Adama: That's no moon! It's a space station.
Apollo: It's too big to be a space station.
Tigh: I have a very bad feeling about this.

They were discovered and threatened into submission by other 'robots'.
They could be executed as spies or just play along. The main character
of the story seemed to be the first to realize that the robots
threatening him were actually other humans.

He managed to leave for Earth without telling anybody else what he had
found out.
